Number portability empowers you to switch network providers while retaining your existing phone number. Follow these straightforward steps utilizing the SIM card associated with the number you wish to port:
Acquire a PIN Code:
Dial 051 or send a text message containing the word "NIP" to the same number. You'll receive a unique code.
2. Submit Your Request through the Application:
Launch your application and opt for the "Request Portability" feature from the dropdown menu located in the top left corner.
Input the following details:
The NIP obtained by contacting 051.
Your CURP (required for fraud prevention).
The phone number you wish to port.
The phone number linked to your new SIM card.
3. Troubleshooting:
In case of any issues during the portability request, reach out for assistance by sending an email to ayuda@oxio.com.
Once the porting process commences, you can continue using your existing number. Within 24-48 hours, the transfer will finalize, enabling you to utilize your number seamlessly on your new SIM card.
4. Important Considerations:
If you're under contract with your current provider, verify any early cancellation fees.
Note that some companies may withhold phone lines despite the absence of outstanding debts or obligations.
