This guide will help you get your new plan working in just a couple of minutes using the QR code from your mobile carrier.

Updated this week

What You'll Need:

  • An eSIM-ready Android phone

  • A Wi-Fi connection

  • The QR code from your carrier

Step 1: Find Your SIM Settings

First, let's head to the right spot in your settings. We understand the exact path can vary a little on Android, but it's almost always one of these:

  • Go to Settings > Connections > SIM manager

  • Or, go to Settings > Network & Internet > SIMs and tap the + icon.

Step 2: Scan Your QR Code

Once you’re in the SIM menu, tap Add eSIM. Your phone's camera will open. Simply point your camera at the QR code your carrier sent you. It will recognize it instantly. Your phone is now ready for its new plan.

Step 3: Confirm and You're Done!

A screen will pop up to confirm you want to add the new network.

Tap Add. Your phone will take a moment to activate the eSIM. Once it’s finished, you're all set! Your phone will then ask you to set your new eSIM as the default for calls, texts, or data. You can return to the SIM manager at any time to turn the eSIM on or off, edit its name, or change your default line preferences.

Enjoy the convenience and flexibility of your new digital SIM!
